Dear friends, let us reflect on the profound difference between merely knowing about Jesus and truly knowing Him. Many may acknowledge His existence, His divine nature as the Son of God, and even call Him Lord, but does this knowledge lead to a deep and personal relationship with Him? To know Jesus is to invite Him into every aspect of our lives, not just acknowledging Him in passing. It is to walk hand in hand with Him, listening to the guiding voice of His Spirit within us. His words, found in the Scriptures, become our faithful guideposts, directing our thoughts and actions. This calling to live in relationship with Jesus goes beyond a single moment of acceptance or a fleeting encounter. It is an ongoing journey of surrendering our selfish desires and embracing His qualities: love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Our compass in this journey is set by the principles found in His word: truth, honesty, justice, purity, and all that is good and praiseworthy. These values become the benchmarks for our choices and actions, steering us closer to truly knowing Jesus. Let us not reduce our faith to a one-time experience at an altar, believing that is all we need to do. Such an approach would belittle the immense love God has for us. Instead, let us maintain an ever-deepening connection with Him, continuously seeking to know Him more intimately and passionately. So, let this message serve as a stirring reminder to keep our relationship with Jesus alive and thriving. It is not a distant or passive connection, but an ongoing, vibrant, and life-transforming communion with the One who loves us beyond measure. Let us embrace this call and walk steadfastly with our Savior.
